Updated September 2026. This guide now uses CoinDCX because the old Vauld instructions are no longer usable. Menu names can move as the app changes, so confirm every asset, network, fee, and bank detail on the final screen.

If you want to sell crypto for INR and withdraw the money to your Indian bank account, the basic flow is simple: verify your exchange account, deposit a supported asset, sell it, and withdraw the INR balance.
Step 1: Create and verify your exchange account
Open a CoinDCX account, complete KYC, and finish bank-account verification. Use a bank account in your own name. INR withdrawals require KYC and a verified bank account.
Open CoinDCX and complete verification →
Step 2: Deposit the crypto you want to sell
In the app, use Home → Deposit Crypto. You can also go through Portfolio → Funds → Coins → Deposit. Select the exact cryptocurrency and one of the networks the deposit screen currently supports.
- Copy the deposit address or scan its QR code.
- On the sending wallet or exchange, choose the same asset and the same blockchain network.
- Send a small test amount first if the balance is meaningful.
- Wait for the required network confirmations and check that the deposit appears in your portfolio.
Do not guess the network. Sending an unsupported token or using the wrong network can permanently lose the funds. Some assets also require a memo or destination tag; include it whenever the deposit screen provides one.
Step 3: Sell the crypto for INR
Open the deposited asset from your portfolio and use the sell option available for it, such as Insta Sell or the spot market. Enter the amount, review the execution price, fee, and tax/TDS information shown on the order preview, then confirm.
A market-style instant sale prioritises execution, not a guaranteed price. For a larger amount or a less-liquid token, compare the preview with the spot order book before confirming.
Step 4: Withdraw INR to your bank account
Go to Portfolio → Funds → Withdraw INR. Enter the amount, select or confirm your verified bank account, and approve the withdrawal. CoinDCX’s current help guidance lists a minimum INR withdrawal of ₹100, but check the app because limits and processing details can change.
Keep the withdrawal confirmation until the money reaches your bank. If the status is pending, do not submit duplicate requests; check the transaction status and contact support from inside the official app if needed.
Before you move a large balance
- Enable two-factor authentication and never share an OTP or recovery phrase.
- Confirm the receiving network before sending crypto.
- Run a small deposit and INR withdrawal first.
- Download transaction records for tax reporting.
- Do not leave long-term holdings on an exchange simply because the withdrawal worked.
